MIDDLESEX WALKING FOOTBALL EVENT
Rectory Park will host a day of Walking Football on Sunday 16th September.
The new Middlesex FA HQ will give both players and volunteers the opportunity to participate in a day of Walking Football with the following on offer:

AM - Walking Football Referee Workshop
This 3 hour workshop is for anyone interested in officiating walking football, designed to equip learners with some of the skills and knowledge required to be able to referee walking football safely and effectively.
The workshop will start at 10:00am, followed by a walking football festival from 2:00pm where attendees will have the opportunity to put their learning into practice trough practical experience officiating friendly festival fixtures.
The workshop will cover:

Simplified version of the Laws of Walking Football

How to communicate effectively
-
Recognising what constitutes foul play

Fundamentals of walking football - including defining what running is!
Much of the learning will be done on the pitch, where learners will have the opportunity to manage different set-piece scenarios and referee other learners playing walking football.
The workshop is free to attend. Learners are expected to stay for the duration of the day (10:00am-5:00pm).
PM - Walking Football Festival
The afternoon will see the first Walking Football Festival at Rectory Park, open to teams across the county and beyond. Teams will play round robin friendly fixtures within two age categories, with further activities available on the day.

Matches will be played on 3G pitches and officiated by qualified Walking Football Referees
All participants will need to complete a medical form before participating.
