The Middlesex FA Referee Academy was established to aid officials in their development. The Academy includes referees that show exceptional potential and the drive to reach the highest levels of the game.

How do I join the Academy?

The Academy is invitation-only however we look for referees that show desire and commitment to further their careers.

Why should I join the Academy?


In order to progress in your refereeing career you must be in the Middlesex FA Referee Academy. You will benefit from the coaching, tutoring and knowledge of a number of experienced Middlesex Referee Tutors and if you continue to progress will be eligible for The FA Core.

What's expected of me if I join the Academy?

• Attendance at all meetings
• Exceptional administration 
• Submit a schedule of forthcoming games to their mentor
• Forward all observations to their mentor for review
• Maintain regular contact with the Academy Coordinator 
• Show progression within their refereeing career whilst a member of the group
• Commit to aiming to progress onto the Regional Development Group for London
