Lawrence promotes a fair & positive approach to the grassroots game. He is quick to make sure everyone there is enjoying the game and helps keep things in perspective. Lawrence has never said ‘no’ to any volunteering requests and has always willingly stepped up.
His club Super Skills FC are greatly appreciative of his support and, on the difference, Lawrence makes at the club, Harsh Mandavia, Club Secretary said “Lawrence is such a fantastic role model, and his dedication, positivity and genuine care for the young people at the club makes a real difference. His passion and commitment creates an environment where the players feel encouraged, supported and motivated to grow both on and off the field. Lawrence exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding parent volunteer. His respect for all participants, combined with his commitment to sportsmanship, has made a lasting impact on the community at the club. The club sincerely appreciate his contributions, and they look forward to his continued positive influence at Super Skills FC.
We spoke to Joshua Kinchuck who is the manager of Super Skills Under 11 Red team, and we asked Joshua what impresses him about Lawrence. Joshua commented “He effectively communicates with parents, ensuring they understand the importance of sportsmanship on the sidelines. His approachability and professionalism earn the trust of coaches, allowing games to be conducted smoothly. Furthermore, his respectful interactions with players set an excellent example, reinforcing the importance of fair play and mutual respect on the field. During the match he is constantly conscious of young people’s wellbeing and safety on the pitch. Without hesitation he will remind parents and coaches of the FA respect rules for coaches and spectators.”
