Middlesex FA Unveils New Team Structure
Middlesex FA is excited to announce a new team structure designed to drive the objectives of our four-year strategic plan, Realising Our Potential. This structure aligns closely with The FA’s Grassroots Football Strategy and focuses on serving the game across our county with greater clarity and impact.
The updated structure reflects a commitment to delivering on the five strategic pillars outlined by The FA:
• Enhancing Playing Choices and Opportunities
• Promoting Equal Opportunities for Women & Girls to Play
• Building and Improving Facilities
• Addressing Poor Behaviour
• Developing a Valued Network of Volunteers, Coaches, and Referees
To streamline operations and improve focus, the traditional Football Services and Participation & Development teams have been restructured. The new approach includes an Operations Manager who will oversee both the Club & Facilities Team and the newly formed Development & Workforce Team. This shift will provide clearer accountability and a stronger focus on delivering against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Additionally, the creation of a dedicated Safeguarding & EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) team highlights our commitment to addressing critical areas of grassroots football, including investigations and behaviour management.
Strategic Focus Areas
The new structure will support three key drivers of our Realising Our Potential strategy:
• Thriving Community Clubs: Empowering community clubs to provide exceptional football experiences, grow sustainably, and operate effectively.
• Connecting and Serving Participants: Enhancing our digital services to provide personalised, accessible online tools that support participants in their roles and uncover new opportunities.
• Progressing Governance Standards: Ensuring the highest governance standards across all levels of grassroots football to better serve participants.
These updates also complement Middlesex FA’s Inclusion, Community Football, and Commercial Strategies, which can be explored in more detail here:
