Jardell with award

Jardell Petit named TeamFeePay Volunteer of the Month for January 2025!

From everybody at Middlesex FA, congratulations to Jardell and thank you for all that you do!

Middlesex FA is delighted to announce that Jardell Petit has been named as its TeamFeePay Volunteer of the Month for January 2025.

Jardell has been supporting with the Middlesex FA SEN Schools League for the past 2 seasons. He helps to ensure that the pitches are set up in time, greets the players and their teachers upon arrival, supports with refereeing and coordinating the fixtures and is a point of contact if anyone needs further support.

Jardell has also been utilising his own experiences of playing within the Middlesex FA PAN Disability League to share opportunities to play in grassroots football to the players and their teachers. This has led to a significant growth in players accessing opportunities within the disability pathway in recent months.

Speaking to Daniel Perkins, Middlesex FA Safeguarding & EDI Lead on the difference Jardell makes in the community, he said “Jardell is a friendly and familiar face to children who play in the weekly schools league. He has ensured that the fixtures have been delivered efficiently and on time, which wouldn't have been possible to do the quick growth of the league this season. According to activity alliance, disabled children are less than half as likely to see someone like them volunteering or working in sport. I believe that the children see Jardell as a positive role model and he proves that they can follow in his footsteps.”

Jardell is extremely committed to supporting the development of disability football in Middlesex. Aside from playing for QPR in the Community Trust PAN Disability, he has also been undertaking his coaching qualifications and attending CPD organised by the County FA. His commitment is further recognised by supporting a local grassroots club, Acton & Ealing Whistlers with their newly formed Comets programme.

Jardell has also recently reviewed a feedback form submitted by school teachers and has suggested some fantastic ideas/initiatives to enhance the playing experience further.

Each month, Middlesex FA want to recognise and celebrate the hard work of its volunteers within the County. Volunteers can often be the unsung heroes of grassroots football, from everybody at Middlesex FA, congratulations to Jardell and thank you for all that you do!
