Foxes FC awarded Three Star status!
Middlesex FA would like to congratulate Foxes FC who have recently renewed their England Football Accreditation and in the process have moved from being a Two Star Accredited Club to a Three Star Accredited Club.
Foxes have now become the 15th club in the County to be awarded Three Star status and thanks to the fantastic work from their club workforce, they now offer a complete Male & Female Playing Pathway as well as offering Disability provision at the club.
We recently caught up with Club Secretary, James Long to find out how they progress to becoming a Three Star Accredited Club.
What does being an England Football Accredited Club mean to your club?
Achieving the Three Star Accreditation from England Football is a proud moment for everyone at Foxes FC. As the highest level of recognition, it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in creating a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for our players.
This accreditation isn’t just a badge - it’s a reflection of our values and our commitment to excellence in grassroots football. It demonstrates that we meet the highest standards in coaching, safeguarding, inclusivity, and governance. We are proud to be leading the way in grassroots football. For us, it’s about giving every kid the opportunity to thrive - whether they’re learning the basics, chasing competitive goals, or simply enjoying the game with their friends. We are proud to now have a pathway for everyone, from age 18 months up to 18 years.
How did you go about moving from a Two Star Accredited Club to a Three Star Accredited Club?
The step up to Three Star Accreditation wasn’t just about ticking boxes—it was about raising our standards across the board.
• Coaching: We invested in upskilling our coaches, ensuring they have the FA qualifications and resources they need to bring out the best in our players
• Inclusivity: Creating more opportunities for all abilities was a key focus by developing our Comets Programme. Plus growing the reach of our girls’ football programmes through the Wildcats initiative.
• Governance: Strengthening how we run the club, with safeguarding and organisation always at the forefront.
It was a real team effort, involving not just our coaches, but also the players and parents who make our club so special.
What support did you get from your County FA/The FA during this process?
We’re lucky to have had brilliant support from Middlesex FA and England Football throughout this journey. They provided practical advice, training opportunities, and guidance that helped us meet the high standards required.
Their workshops and resources were invaluable, especially when it came to enhancing our safeguarding policies and ensuring our coaches had access to the best possible training.
Now you are a Three Star Accredited Club, what are your future ambitions as a club?
While we’re incredibly proud of this achievement, we’re always looking ahead. Our future ambitions include:
1. Growing our programmes: Offering even more opportunities, especially for girls and young players of all abilities
2. Building partnerships: Strengthening ties with schools and professional clubs to inspire and support our players
3. Supporting our community: Deepening our impact by making football accessible to even more families
4. Sustainability: Ensuring we remain a thriving, forward-thinking club that serves our community for years to come.
We’re here to make a difference - not just in football, but in the lives of the young people and families we work with every day. We look forward to contributing further to the development of grassroots football at every level.
