Accredited Club of the Month - November 2024

Staines & Laleham Juniors Named Accredited Club of the Month for November 2024

Congratulations to all involved in the club.

Middlesex FA is proud to announce that Staines & Laleham Juniors FC have been named as its England Football Accredited Club of the Month for November 2024.

Staines & Laleham Juniors FC are a Two Star England Football Accredited Club with 27 affiliated teams and more than 350 players ranging from Under 8s to adults via their link with Staines & Lammas (Middx) FC which ensures the club has a full pathway for its players to follow.  The club also has an ever-growing girls set up, recently taking part in The FA Wildcats programme, leading to the club now having 5 new Girls teams.

The club have recently retained their England Football Accreditation status for the 2024/25 season and with the hard work of their dedicated club committee are beginning to put plans in place to continue to develop the club with the ambition of becoming a Three Star Accredited Club in the future.

Originally called Staines Town Juniors, the club changed its name to Staines & Laleham Juniors in 2019 to better reflect its growing role in the local community.
Staines & Laleham FC’s male teams play in the Surrey Primary League, providing competitive football for their young players. The girls’ teams compete in the Capital Girls League, giving their female players a chance to play at a high level in a supportive environment.

The club also has extremely strong links with Staines & Lammas (Middlesex) FC, a club in the Combined Counties Football League which Step 6 of the National League System, offering a clear pathway for male players from U7s through to open-age football.

In addition, the club works with the Staines Town Strollers, who run walking football sessions for older players or those looking for a more relaxed version of the game. This is a great way for the community to stay active and involved in football.

Staines & Laleham FC has close ties with three local schools: Laleham CofE Primary School, Ashford Park Primary, and Buckland Primary. These partnerships help bring local children into football and provide them with a chance to develop their skills.

Speaking to a parent from the club, on what impresses them about the club, they said: “They consistently aim to build on the club and the young players they have with both boys and girls, building a great football community. Everyone at the club has a voice, whether coaches, parents, young players and anyone who has a working relationship with the club. There is never an idea or question that they shall not answer or discuss which is great for all those involved as it leads to many open discussions on ways to improve overall for each player. They truly strive to make the club a success and welcoming for all.”

Congratulations to Staines & Laleham Juniors, from everybody at Middlesex FA!
