Tournament Sanctioning

Did you know that if you run a tournament, and you don’t sanction with your Local County FA, your insurance, and those of the Clubs and Match Officials taking part would be invalid?

Summer Tournaments are common practice for Clubs to host, especially during the off-season. Middlesex FA have provided you with everything you need to get your tournament sanctioned. All the forms are editable and can be downloaded and saved to your computer before they are returned to us, making the process a lot easier for the tournament organisers to complete.

As of 2025, the Tournament Sanctioning process has moved online to The FA's Competition Portal, with this the old sanctioning booklet is no longer used, please complete and return the Sanctioning Form to us so that we can get you set up and ready to Sanction your tournament. For guidance on how to sanction your tournament online, click here

Please note: If your tournament is scheduled on or before 30th June 2025, all Clubs MUST be affiliated for the current season.

Any Competition on or after the 1st July, therefore in 2025/2026 season, all Clubs and Match Officials MUST be affiliated for the relevant season.

PLEASE NOTE, If you are planning on hosting your tournament on an artificial playing surface, this pitch must be on The FA 3G Pitch Register. If the pitch you are planning to use is not on this register, the insurance of the hosts and all participants will be invalid. To check your venue is on the register, click here.
